Children who will turn 6 years old before December 31 of the year of admissions and who haven’t yet attended any school (either state or private) before, are eligible to apply to Ayb Elementary School.
For participation in Ayb Elementary School application procedures, a non-refundable fee of AMD 12,000 is set. For those applicants, who have siblings studying in Ayb School, the fee will total AMD 6000.
The applicants are admitted to the school by the admission committee’s decision based on the results of introductory lessons and interviews with the parents.
The committee’s decision is final and can’t be disputed or appealed.
By decision of the school administration, supplementary admission to grades 1-4 can be organized to fill the vacant seats (if there are such). The selection usually takes place at the end of each academic term.

For parents and applicants, Doors Open Day is organized to tell about the school and answer all questions. On the same day, the guests have an opportunity to tour the school. Participation in Doors Open Day is mandatory.

If during the submission of the application, it turns out that the parents missed the Doors Open Day, one more event is organized for them before the admission exams. The children of parents, who have already submitted the application but did not attend the Doors Open event, will not be admitted to the school.
The parents of the applicants complete and submit the application form for admission to Ayb Elementary School. It is obligatory for participation in further admission procedures. The printed application form and all necessary documents should be submitted within the established period.
To apply to Ayb High School, the following steps need to be completed:
Step 1
Register and participate in Doors Open Days that will take place on-site or online via ZOOM platform. To join, you should register on the website. Afterward, you will receive an email with detailed information.
Participation in Door Open Days is mandatory for all parents and applicants. The children of parents, who have already submitted the application but did not attend the Doors Open event, will not be admitted to the school.
On average, the Doors Open event lasts for a couple of hours.
Step 2
Submit the application form during the period from February to March.
The applicants’ parents complete and submit the application form on the school’s website. Completion of the electronic application is mandatory for participation in admission procedures. The printed application form should be submitted to the school along with the following documents:
The printed application will not be accepted without submission of the electronic form. The electronic form will be considered invalid without the printed application and other requested documents. Electronic application forms are completed and submitted online.
The application form includes information about the tuition fee for the given academic year, the student contract and payment terms. By signing the application, the legal representative of the applicant confirms being familiarized with the conditions and agreeing with them.
A parent/guardian of the applicant is responsible for the accuracy of any information provided in the application form. If it turns out that the information provided in the application form is not true to fact, the school has the right to dismiss the student contract unilaterally and cancel the admission by sending a written notification.
Step 3
Participate in the 1st admission round that includes introductory lessons with the applicant at Ayb School. The details are provided to applicants prior to the lessons.
All applicants must attend the introductory lessons, which are not considered as knowledge assessment.
The introductory lessons are held for 3 days. Each meeting lasts about 2 hours. Elementary school teachers and psychologists interview the applicants, and give them logic and game tests that help reveal the general knowledge of the children and their thinking abilities, as well as presume their student behavior.
Based on the outcomes, the teaching staff provides full information about each applicant to the admission committee that decides whether the child can be admitted to Ayb Elementary School or not.
Also, representatives of the school administration hold informal meetings and group discussions with the parents of the applicants. The parents’ attendance is highly recommended but not obligatory.
Step 4
Participate in the 2nd admission round which includes an interview with the applicant’s parents. It is obligatory for all parents.
The interview lasts for about 30 minutes. The parents are informed of the exact time of the meeting via an email.
Both parents should appear for the meeting (if there are no solid reasons for absence).
The interview is conducted by the members of the admission committee. They talk with parents about the reasons for choosing Ayb School, understand whether they can be a part of the Ayb community, and adopt the Ayb system of values.
Based on the results of both admission rounds, the admission committee takes the final decision.
Interviews with parents as part of the 2023-2024 academic year admission procedures can be held on-site or in an online format.

Ayb Elementary School Admission Committee is formed based on the decision of the Board of Trustees.
The admission committee might include members of the Board of Trustees of Ayb School and Ayb Educational Foundation, representatives of Ayb School and Ayb Educational Foundation donor community and Ayb School administration, representatives of the teaching staff, and members of the mentor and alumni community.
