Art is an inseparable part of the life at Ayb and all students have the possibility to choose the branch of art they like most of all to obtain new knowledge and develop their skills.
Arts Week has become a traditional school event in May, providing a wonderful opportunity to attend concerts and exhibitions, where Ayb students display their talent and the results of the diligent work carried out during the entire academic year. This time it was the dance, dramatic art and painting groups, who presented their yearly activities.
The Arts Week kicked off with the performance by the dramatic art group guided by Gabriel Sundukyan State Academic Theater director Vardan Mkrtchyan. The 11th grade students staged Avetik Isahakyan’s Servant Simon performance, while the 12th graders came out with Hovhannes Tumanyan’s A Drop of Honey tale. The strong performing skills and impressive acting received enthusiastic appreciation of the audience. Milena Mirumyan and Aghasi Barseghyan performed monologues.
The Arts Week continued with the brilliant performance by our dance group led by Karin folk dance ensemble founder and creative director Gagik Ginosyan. The students of 10th, 11th and 12th grades performed traditional Armenian dances, inspiring the whole room with the Armenian culture and spirit.
The Week came to its end with the young painters’ exhibition under the guidance of Mary Adamyan. The paintings by the Ayb Elementary, Middle and High Schools students were displayed. The creativity and colors left the attendees fascinated.
The Arts Week once again proved that art is actually a driving force at Ayb School that inspires numerous students to create and reveal their own talent.
