Meeting with UBC representative

The Ayb School students got an opportunity to enjoy an online meeting with a representative of the University of British Columbia, Mr. Thomas Whittaker, who told about the university and answered the students’ questions, expressing hope to see some of them as the university students soon.

The University of British Columbia (UBC) has campuses in Vancouver and Okanagan, which annually open the doors for thousands of international students. Ranking among the world’s leading universities, the UBC is a global center for research and teaching that also gives an opportunity to compete at a high level in a variety of sports including alpine skiing, fencing, sailing, tennis, and synchronized swimming.

It’s well known that international students attach importance the location of the university. From this viewpoint, the UBC is a wonderful opportunity, as Canada is one of the most developed countries in the world. In addition, the university offers an opportunity to stay and gain experience in the country for 3 more years after the graduation.

Mr. Whittaker says, “Make your choice, meet the application deadlines and carefully study the list of documents required by the University.”

According to him, the first you should think about is what is to be dome to become a good student. As well as the academic progress, the UBC highly appreciates the students’ out-of-class activities and their engagement in various spheres of life, which is one of the ways to success. It’s no coincidence that the UCB offers more than 360 activity groups for its students.
